When someone lying, why do you say, He is crying wolf’?

Cry wolf means to cry or complain when nothing actually is wrong. You must have heard of the story where the boy kept raising a false alarm that a lion had come. He would do this to attract the attention of the villagers. But one day when the lion actually came, all villagers said, “Don’t listen to him, he is crying wolf”. Nobody came to his help and the lion ate him away!

Wolves howl when they are hungry, in pain or need to attract attention.

Fast Fact :

Each wolf has a distinct howl.
